WebJul 19, 2010 · There appears to be many packages for getting/formatting the current date, or finding out the date n time intervals from now. But I must be overlooking the existence of a simple method to set the date (like Windows' date.exe) in Python. WebJun 26, 2016 · datetime.date.today () is of type which basically returns only the date. That is why your hours and minutes when printed returns 00:00. Hence, if you use datetime.datetime.now () this would return type which is a datetime object, you'll get the date and the time. Share.
