WebJan 10, 2024 · From my time here on myFICO I've learned there really aren't any tricks to a Discover CLI. Some receive them regularly and some rarely ever with heavy spend or not. I've received one $500 CLI from Discover in about a year and a half. Some of the 5% categories work out better for me than others so some months are a little lower spend. WebDec 31, 2024 · Discover pre-approvals mostly identify more "sure thing" approvals. So you could roll the dice and app now, and you may still be approved. If you are looking for a pre-approval, you'll probably have to get closer to 700 particularly on Experian. Waiting until I get close to 700 makes more sense. I am not too far off.
